The Town Hall (Lithuanian: Vilniaus rotušė) is a historical building situated in the square of the same name: The Town Hall Square (Lithuanian: Rotušės aikštė), which is a traditional centre of trade and events in Vilnius.
 
 
        
 
 
The Palace is one of the most important monuments of the city. In the past it was a city theatre used for various theatre groups/personal performers. The famous Polish composer Stanislaw Moniuszko performed at Town Hall and it has housed the Lithuanian Art Museum, courtrooms, treasury and archives. There was also a time when a prison was created in the cellars of the town hall.
 
It is centrally located, giving participants the opportunity to enjoy the Vilnius city centre town during congress breaks.  
   

 

GETTING TO THE CENTRE OF THE CITY

 
Bus
No. 1 – to the railway station, runs every 30-50 minutes
No. 2 – through the centre of the city to Šeškinė, runs every 10-20 minutes
Bus times are available at bus stops or on the website www.stops.lt 
Tickets for trolleybuses and buses can be bought at any newspaper kiosk or on the trolley/bus.
 
Minibus
No. 15 – through the city centre to the outskirts of the city (Airport–Kalvarijų Street-Santariškės)
No. 20 – through the city centre to the outskirts of the city (Airport-Fabijoniškės)
No. 23 – through the city centre to the outskirts of the city (Airport-Konstitucijos pr.-Šeškinė)
No. 47 – through the city centre to the outskirts of the city (Airport-Pašilaičiai)
Minibuses run every 5-15 minutes. Tickets can be bought on the bus only.
 
Airport Express
Minibus route: from the airport to the bus station (Sodų str. 22, Vilnius), every 40 min, (from 7:40 to 22:40). Ticket 3 Litas, can be bought on the minibus. 
 
Train
Distance from the airport to Vilnius Railway station is about 5 km, the journey takes up to 8 minutes. Trains run approximately every 40 minutes. The schedule can be found at www.litrail.lt. Tickets can be purchased on the train or at Vilnius Railway Station.
 
Taxi

Restaurant + Cultural Programme - Organic gala dinner on 3 July 

 

The first day of the congress will end with a trip to historical town of Trakai. The Trakai castle used to be one the greatest fortress in Grand Duchy of Lithuania. During the excursion there will be a guided tour around the castle followed by medieval music and dance performances.
 

The cultural programme will be followed by a gala dinner at the Apvalaus stalo klubas
