- European Organic Congress takes place on 31 May and 1 June in Gödöllő

Congress venue moved to Gödöllő castle: For practical reasons the venue of the conference was moved to Gödöllő castle.  Gödöllő is only 40 minutes car ride away from the Budapest airport and easily reachable by train from Budapest.  The Palace is one of the most important, largest monuments of Hungarian Palace architecture and is used for representative state events.

Updated congress programme online: The days of congress remain 31st of May and 1st of June, whereas the time schedule was slightly changed due to the new situation: The congress starts at 2pm on Tuesday and ends at 5 pm on Wednesday. The congress programme provides high level speeches as well as enough space for workshop discussions. Discussions will put a focus on food systems of the future; development of rural economies and local markets, as well as the creation of consistent policy frameworks for the development of organic food and farming.
An organic farm in Karcag will be the destination of a pre-conference excursion on 30 May, where organic and biodynamic crop production and animal husbandry – using traditional local breeds – in a large area carried out within the framework of a family farm can be visited near to Hortobágy National Park, in the heart of the region Nagykunság. .
