IFOAM EU is an independent regional group within the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM).
IFOAM EU advocate for the development and integrity of European organic food and farming and fight for the adoption of ecologically, socially and economically sound systems based on the principles of organic agriculture – health, ecology, fairness and care.
With more than 180 member organisations from the EU-28, the EU accession countries and EFTA, our work spans the entire organic food chain and beyond: from farmers and processors, retailers, certifiers, consultants, traders and researchers to environmental and consumer advocacy bodies.
The IFOAM EU Group contributes to shaping and implementing Community agricultural, environmental, health and consumer policies and regulation in a number of ways.

BIO AUSTRIA is the association of Austrian Organic Farmers, counting 12,500 Austrian organic farmers as members. It is organised in the federal organisation, located in Linz and Vienna, and eight regional ones.
As a strong network organisation we represent the interests of Austrian organic farmers on the national and international level. Training and advisory services as well as quality management are other essential fields of activity. The quality management makes sure that the products labelled as BIO AUSTRIA quality meet the strict requirements of the BIO AUSTRIA standards, owned by the farmers.
By informing the public about the impact agricultural systems have on a society and promoting the advantages of organic agriculture regarding food quality, environmental protection, animal welfare and healthy soils, BIO AUSTRIA raises awareness and encourages consumers to choose organic products.
